POINT PLEASANT BEACH — G. Harold Antrim Elementary School staff and students held an Olympic send-off for one of their own.

Amanda Marino, eighth- grade English Language Arts teacher, was honored by the school because she will be traveling to California for Olympic trials.

POINT PLEASANT — The borough council is addressing the long-standing issue of foreclosed and/or abandoned properties and the cost of maintaining them.

At the Feb. 2 meeting, the council unanimously voted to introduce an ordinance that would address these properties.

According to Councilman Michael Thulen, who spearheaded the ordinance, most of the issues stem from bank-owned properties.

MANASQUAN — The borough council voted Saturday to accept the donation of two electric vehicle charging stations for installation on South Street.
