Point Pleasant Beach High School will have its production of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Broadway Musical, on Friday March 12 and Saturday March 13 at 7 p.m.

The productions will be held in the F. Thomas Crawley Auditorium at G. Harold Antrim School at 401 Niblick St. in Point Pleasant Beach.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.

The Spring Lake Recreation, will be hosting their annual Three on Three Basketball Tournament for grades three through six at the H.W. Mountz Elementary School on Friday, March 12.

The cost per team is $30.

The tournament has a final elimination and each team is guaranteed three games.

Pizza and snack will be available.

The divisions are third and fourth grade girls, from 4 to 5 p.m., third and fourth grade boys from 5-6 p.m., fifth and sixth grade girls from 7-8 p.m. and fifth and sixth grade boys from 8-9 p.m.

All teams must be in the gym 15 minutes before the start of their game

The Belmar Woman’s Club will be hosting a card party on Friday, March 12 at the Taylor Pavilion, 5th and Ocean Aves., Belmar, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Sandwiches and desserts will be served, and there will also be prizes and a 50/50 raffle. A $7 donation is requested, with proceeds designated for the club’s community improvement programs.

The Avon-by-the-Sea Fire Department will host its Ninth Annual Irish Night Out this weekend.

The benefit will be held on Saturday, March 13, from 6 until 10 p.m. in the Avon Municipal Building, located on Main Street in the borough.

A donation of $25 per person, $20 per senior or $10 per child [6 to 12 years old] entitles the attendee to a corned beef buffet dinner, soft drinks, and beer and wine for those of legal age. Children ages 5 and younger will be admitted to the event free of charge.

There also will be bagpipes, step dancing and Irish music.

The Community YMCA has announced that Camp Zehnder, located at 3911 Herbertsville Road, will hold several open houses. Camp Zehnder is a 140 acre outdoor day camp offering YMCA programs and activities such as swimming, archery, a ropes adventure course, kayaking, climbing and fishing for children ages 3 to 15. It also provides after school care.

The open houses will be held on Feb. 6, from 9 a.m. to noon; March 13, from 9 a.m. to noon; and April 14, from 4 to 8 p.m.

The Old Wall Historical Society is sponsoring its 19th annual Spring Antiques Show at Wall High School, 18th Avenue and New Bedford Road, on Saturday, March 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Wall Public Library, 2700 Allaire Road, will hold its Spring Book Sale starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, through Saturday, March 27. Books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, maps, puzzles, records and tapes are all on sale. Most prices range from 10 cents to $1, with some items priced slightly higher.

On Monday, March 22, the $1 per bag sale will begin.

The Brielle Fire Company, along with the Jersey Shore Running Club, is hosting a 5K and one mile family fun run on March 13 — the half-way point to Brielle Day.

The event will begin at the fire department at 10:30 a.m. and last until 4 p.m. Post race festivities, including food and music will be held after.

The cost is $20 for the run if received before March 6 and $25 after.

The cost for children 12 and under, for either races, are $15 before March 6 and $20 after.

All participants get a t-shirt and there will be awards in all age categories.

The New Beginnings Cancer Support Group will be sponsoring its 6th annual bus trip to Atlantic City’s Showboat Casino on Sunday, March 14.

The bus will depart from Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant Borough at 8:45 a.m., and will arrive back at 6 p.m. The group asks that those wishing to attend please bring their own food and drink, and no alcohol, please.

Cost for the bus trip is $30 per person, and each person will get $25 back in coins. There will be a 50/50 raffle on the bus, as well.

VFW Post 4715, at 603 Saint Louis Ave, Point Pleasant Beach, is having a corn beef and cabbage dinner on Sunday, March 14 at the Post.

Dinner is $8 and sandwiches are $4 and will be served from 1 to 6 p.m. and also on March 17 beginning at 12 p.m.
